Mixed Use

The advantage of creating a mixed-use development is the opportunity to create a community. It has arrays of functions which was built to cater the needs of everyone living there. Instead of traveling to work or to dine, residents can simply head downstairs. The design needs to achieve a balance of commercial viability with the branding and functional needs that drive the placemaking and wayfinding design. The overall experience creates a unique sense of place that differentiates the developments from other destinations.

Beside the quality of placemaking, mixed use developments also have specific requirements in its wayfinding and circulation flow strategy, to connect spaces with different functions.  Each function required to have distinct visual branding and identity, while at the same time all of them needed to have consistent graphic language.
